The
Damara Dik-Dik (Madoqua kirkii) is one of the smallest antelopes in Africa. It
reaches a shoulder height of up to 40 centimeters and a weight of 5 kilograms.
Damara Dik-Diks are day-active animals, but on days with very high temperatures
they rest in the shade during the day and are then active at night. They cool
their blood in the nostrils to protect themselves from heat.
