Supportive clicker - indispensable for successful archers

For archery beginners, the clicker does not usually play a role, but it becomes increasingly important as training progresses. It supports an even Draw length so that the same amount of force is transferred from the bow to the arrow with every shot. Why is this necessary? Especially when training and competing outdoors, distances of more than 60 m or 80 m must be achieved. At these distances, even the smallest irregularities are clearly noticeable in the hit pattern. To avoid this and shoot as many rings as possible, you should therefore use a clicker on the bow for distances of 50 m or more.

Determine the correct Draw length with a clicker

Clickers are only used for recurve bows, as they are not necessary for compound bows and are not permitted for bare bows according to competition rules. Depending on the design and shape of your bow, you can attach the clicker directly to the centre section or externally to the sight arm. Various methods are available in our shop, e.g. models with double-sided adhesive pads or screw connections

But how do these accessories work in detail?

In preparation for the shot, place your arrow on the arrow rest as usual, then clamp it between the clicker and bow centre section and place the arrow on the nock. You can now cock the bow. As soon as the correct Draw length is reached, the clicker strikes the bow and produces the typical clicking sound. At this moment, you release the string.

We offer an extensive range of clickers for left and right-handers as well as models that can be installed on both sides. If you normally shoot with very long arrows, a clicker stem is recommended. This shortens the draw range to the necessary amount and you can still use the clicker for your bow without any problems.

You can also choose between products with or without a magnet. The advantage of a magnetic clicker is that it prevents vibrations when firing and prevents the clicker tongue from springing back. However, regardless of which model you choose, the most important requirement for a clicker is that it must not move on its own.
