The Egyptian goose is also known as the Nile goose and belongs to the duck, goose and swan family (Anatidae). It is native to sub-Saharan Africa and the Nile Valley. The Egyptian goose was considered sacred by the ancient Egyptians and appears in many of their works of art.
Due to its popularity, mainly as an ornamental bird, escaped specimens are common, and feral populations have become established in Western Europe, the United States and New Zealand. You are purchasing an item that we do not have in stock ourselves, but order from a wholesaler for you.
