Just like in different product divisions, there are also different warranty durations in archery. These mainly differ depending on the manufacturer. Here we would like to bring some light into the darkness and give you an overview about the different warranty durations.

Although we try to list all the necessary warranty information in the respective item description, there is a chance that this might get overlooked or lost due to the rush of everyday life, which is why we will state the necessary information here again and in a very clear way.

In case of all our warranty information it should be considered that we do not just pass the warranty conditions of the different manufacturers onto our customers but we also care about the execution of the warranty. The same goes for our various exclusive brands of course.

The 30 years Jackalope warranty

Jackalope Archery grants a warranty of 30 years for all concerned bows within the European Union. ()

The legal warranty conditions remain untouched by this special warranty and count nontheless.

Warranty duration

  • 30 years after the date of invoice

The following requirements have to be met

  • The 30 years warranty for Jackalope products does only count for the first-time buyer.
  • The bow has to be registered first by sending in the warranty card.

How you can make use of the 30 years warranty by Jackalope

Before you send in the bow, we would ask you to inform us about the return. You can either do that via our ticket-system, per email (support@bogensportwelt.de) or via our hotline (+49 3971 241960). Of course we will also provide you with a returns label that we will send you per email. Thereby, the return is free for you.

For a trouble-free and quick execution it is essential to put a copy of the original invoice or the completed return form, we have provided you with, into the parcel you are sending back.

That already is it for your part, now it is our turn.

After we have received the return, we will control your Jackalope bow very carefully. In case it is possible, we will repair your bow and make it fully functional again. You will not be charged for this.

Should this be impossible, we will inform you accordingly. In this case you will receive a new bow. In case the respective model is not available anymore, we will send you an equivalent- or higher-quality bow. The same goes for this case: You will not be charged.

The following bows, risers and limbs are excluded from the warranty

  • all ILF-limbs by Jackalope
  • Jackalope Zircon riser

Warranty conditions - BSW additional warranty for bows

§ 1 General

  1. The additional warranty of BogenSportWelt is a dependent warranty and can only be concluded in connection with a purchase contract for a bow, in which the additional warranty can be selected in the online shop. The guarantor is BSW Handels GmbH in 17389 Anklam, Germany. (hereinafter referred to as guarantor).
  2. The person taking advantage of the warranty can only be a natural person, who concludes a legal transaction for purposes, which can be added predominantly neither their commercial nor their independent vocational activity (consumer).
  3. Only the first-time buyer of the bow purchased from the guarantor can be the sole holder of the warranty. The additional warranty is not transferable.
  4. Claims arising from the additional warranty can only be asserted for bows purchased and located in the Federal Republic of Germany. Benefits from the additional warranty can only be claimed in Germany.
  5. For the assertion of warranty claims only these warranty conditions apply. Any agreements to the contrary shall only apply with the express written consent of the guarantor.

§ 2 Legal liability for material defects

  1. Claims arising from the statutory liability for material defects shall apply in addition to the additional warranty and shall not be affected by this.
  2. Services rendered within the scope of the additional warranty do not constitute an acknowledgement of claims within the scope of the statutory warranty.

§ 3 Beginning and end of the additional warranty

  1. The warranty period begins with the delivery of the sheet and payment of the warranty price.
  2. The warranty period is four years.
  3. The warranty period ends prematurely if the guarantor takes back the bow according to § 5 (2).

§ 4 Content of the additional warranty

  1. The guarantor guarantees the purchased bow against breakage or delamination (case of warranty).
  2. The additional warranty expressly does not cover the purchased bow:
    1. Attachments
    2. Damage caused by improper handling or improper use of the bow, e.g. due to a dry fire and incorrect settings on the bow.
    3. Damage caused by water, fire, force majeure, improper storage, inadequate care or other reasons beyond the control of the warranty e.g. twisted limbs.
  3. Regular maintenance and repair or the replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear, especially with typical wearing parts such as strings, limbs or nocking points, are also not covered by the warranty.

§ 5 Warranty services

  1. In the event of a warranty claim, the defective bow or component will be repaired free of charge by the guarantor.
  2. If the repair of the bow or its components is actually impossible or uneconomical, it is at the discretion of the guarantor to make an exchange bow available to the policyholder instead of repairing the bow or its components. The replacement is carried out by a new bow of the same type, quality and equipment. As a replacement bow, a technically at least equivalent bow of other series or manufacturers can also be handed over. Alternatively, it is at the discretion of the guarantor to fulfil his obligation under the additional guarantee by repaying 100% of the sales price. Repayment will be made step by step against the return of the defective bow.
  3. The additional warranty does not include any liability for consequential damages.
  4. With the assertion of warranty claims, the policyholder assigns to the guarantor any other claims against third parties with regard to the specific defect present.

§ 6 Registration of warranty claims

  1. The registration of warranty claims takes place via the contact address given in the warranty certificate.
  2. When registering warranty claims, the policyholder must present the original proof of purchase.
  3. The repair is carried out at the guarantor's place of business, if necessary, at the place of the manufacturer of the bow. The warranty holder must return the bow to the service department of the guarantor. The return is free of charge for the warrantee if the return possibilities provided in the return portal in the online shop of the guarantor are used. Any other return must be borne by the warrantee and is not refundable.
  4. If the defect to be repaired is not a warranty case and if the policyholder could have recognised this, he shall bear all costs incurred by the inspection, in particular, shipping costs incurred.

§ 7 Right of revocation

The additional warranty is part of the purchase contract of the purchased bow. If there is a right of revocation with regard to the purchase contract on which the additional warranty is based and if the policyholder exercises this right of revocation, the additional warranty will also lapse without requiring any further explanation.

§ 8 Data protection

The warranter points out to the warrantee that the personal data collected in the course of processing a warranty claim will only be collected, processed and used in accordance with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) for the purpose of processing the obligations arising from the additional warranty. For the aforementioned purposes, personal data may be transmitted and processed by commissioned and carefully selected partners in accordance with § 11 BDSG within the framework of order data processing. After the storage purpose has been achieved, personal data will be deleted in accordance with data protection regulations.

§ 9 Partial invalidity

Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. This shall not apply if adherence to the contract would represent an unreasonable hardship for one of the parties.

Bearpaw Products grants warranty for 2 years.

The 30 years warranty for Bodnik Bows

The manufacturer grants a warranty of 30 years for all Bodnik Bows that have been made since 1 January 2012.

The warranty includes:

  • broken limbs
  • delamination of the limbs
  • cracks in the limbs or in the laminate
  • broken risers
  • cracks in the risers
  • snapped limb tips

Excluded from the warranty:

  • reckless or deliberate breaking or damaging of the bow
  • twisted limbs after using the bow for more than 6 months
  • repairs of obvious wear and tear or traces of abrasion

Guarantees

  • replacement or repair of the bow

what does this guaranteeing mean for you?

You will have to send the bow in a parcel to BSW Handels GmbH, Demminer Str. 32, 17389 Anklam, Germany. Please also include the invoice or the completed returns form that we provide. This will make the processing of your order a lot easier.

Thereby, you have completed your part of the guarantee process.

As soon as the bow has arrived at our premises, we will inspect it carefully. If possible, we will repair your bow so that it is fully functional again. You will not be charged for this process.

In case a repair is not possible, we will inform you and exchange your bow with a new model of the respective bow series.

Again, you will not be charged for this. We will bear 100% of the involved costs for you.

The repaired or exchanged bow will be sent back to you subsequently. The costs will once again be beared by us.

30 years warranty + 70 years of goodwill for bows by Beier

For all Beier bows that have been produced since 1 January 2017 and are equipped with the copper inlay in the riser, Beier Distribution GmbH grants a warranty of 30 years + 70 years of goodwill.

The warranty is valid worldwide and does not restrict the legal warranty in any way.

The warranty excludes:

  • signs of usage and wear and tear
  • twisted limbs (only occurs when stringing or storing the bow incorrectly)
  • reckless use or abuse of the bow
  • bows, on which all the data has been removed

Process of the warranty execution:

You will have to send the bow to BSW Handels GmbH, Demminer Str. 32, 17389 Anklam. Please also include the invoice or the completed returns form offered by us.

As soon as the bow is at our premises, it will be examined by the respective department. In case the bow can be repaired so that it will be fully functional again, it will be fixed.

Should the bow not be repairable, we will inform and send you a new bow from the same bow series.

Finally, we will send the repaired or replaced bow back to you. The delivery costs will of course be paid by us.

Spiderbows warranty

All Spiderbows bows are covered by a 2-year warranty if the following criteria are met when using them:

  • Always draw the bow with a suitable draw string and check that the string is cleanly positioned at the top and bottom of the notch before drawing the bow. Drawing the bow without a string can cause the limbs to twist and injure the archer.
  • Temperature: Wooden bows are glued with epoxy resin glue, which hardens at 60 to 80 degrees.
  • Always unstring the bow after use and only transport or store it unstrung.
  • Never store the bow in hot rooms, never leave it in the sun and, after transportation in a car, ensure that the bow cools down before it is strung. Failure to observe these points may result in delamination or twisting of the limbs, which is not covered by the warranty.
  • All Spiderbows bows and risers are tested and collared to a maximum draw strength of 50 pounds. Use of higher draw strengths will void the warranty.
  • Blank shots are not covered by the warranty. Empty shots occur when the bow is drawn and released without an arrow inserted or if the nock breaks (it is therefore essential to check the nock before inserting the arrow) or the arrow has not been properly clicked into the string. Empty shots damage the bow and can result in injury to the archer.
  • All bows are suitable for fast flight, the use of string yarns that are not suitable for recurve is prohibited.
  • Minimum arrow weight: The minimum arrow weight for spider bows of all types is 7 grains per pound (i.e. arrow weight in grains divided by the poundage on the finger must be at least 7 grains).
  • For take-down bows, make sure the limb screws are always tight.
  • ILF center sections and bows: Spiderbows' ILF risers are fitted with Spiderbows' solid all-metal risers. Before shooting, this bow must be adjusted, it is important that the tiller screw is turned to the desired position of strength and tiller and the limbs are aligned cleanly straight, this takes place via the lateral limb adjustment screws. Ensure that the alignment between the center section and limbs is cleanly in line and all screws are tightened before the bow is tensioned.

The Falkenholz warranty

Falkenholz provides a 2-year warranty for all relevant bows within Europe (note exclusion).

The statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this warranty and apply independently of it.

How to make a claim under the Falkenholz warranty

Before you send in the bow, we would like to ask you to inform us about the return.

Simply send us an email to support@falkenholz.de.

We will also be happy to provide you with a returns label, which we can then send to you by email. The return is then free of charge for you.

For smooth and fast processing, it is necessary to enclose a copy of the original invoice with the package.

That's it for you, now it's our turn.

After we have received the return shipment, we will check your Falkenholz bow carefully. If possible, we will repair your bow and make it fully functional and usable again. You will not incur any costs for this.

If this is not possible, we will inform you. In this case, you will receive a new bow. If the model in question is no longer available, you will receive a bow of equal or higher quality. Again, there are no costs for you.
