Our backstop made of foam and protective Kevlar layer sets new standards in terms of safety and reliability. Kevlar, the material also used in bulletproof vests, impresses with its exceptional properties.
Why Kevlar?
Kevlar is a synthetic fiber known for its extreme tensile strength. Relative to weight, Kevlar is up to five times stronger than steel. This unique property allows the mat to reliably absorb the kinetic energy of arrows and stop them safely without penetration.
- Extremely high stopping power: The dense fiber structure reliably catches the arrow and prevents it from flying uncontrolled.
- Minimal wear: Kevlar is extremely cut and abrasion resistant. This not only protects the mat itself but also the arrows, as they are gently stopped and not damaged.
- Durable and weather-resistant: Unlike other materials, Kevlar is robust against weather influences, chemicals, and temperature differences, ensuring a long service life.
Flexible applications
By attaching the Kevlar mat directly to the STRONGHOLD Foam Target Black, there is no longer a need for a suspension for the mat, allowing the entire backstop to be positioned and used flexibly. This creates an additional level of safety directly behind the target, preventing arrows that miss the target from "disappearing."
